Since the GBA has only 256 colors for all sprites, to allow using RPG Maker charas on it we have been working on what we have called chargroups: charas from different charsets that share the same color palette.

Since maps can only use one chargroup at the same time, we force all charas in the same map to use the same sprite color palette.

Chargroups even allow to skip chara poses in order to reduce ROM size.
